Stacking the Shelves (8)

“Stacking the Shevles” is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews in which we share books that we’ve added to our shelves via purchase, exchange, etc.

Here’s what I added this week:

Much thanks to the lovely ladies at Cuddlebuggery for these two! So excited to read both!

You can read more about the awesomeness surrounding how I got an ARC of These Broken Stars (and enter a giveaway or two) here!

As usual, you can click on the books to see their Goodreads summaries. :]

So what books did you stack your shelves with this week?

I am dying to read These Broken Stars! It sounds sooo good, can’t wait to hear what you think of it. Born of Illusion is on my wishlist! I adore the cover. Enjoy x

I know, I’m super excited about reading TBS – to the point that I’m considering putting off June and July ARCs and reading it instead, lol! So hard to be good when it’s sitting there staring at me…

    • Shannon

I’ve been obsessing over it for months – you can imagine how amazed I was when it showed up in the mail!

  2. Lucy @ Queen of Contemporary

These Broken Stars has such a pretty cover; it’s gorgeous! I haven’t heard of many of them so I’ll have to have a look on Goodreads. Happy reading! :)

I know, it IS gorgeous! You should definitely check out the other books. The Ruining got mixed reviews on Goodreads but I’m determined to read it for myself and see if I like it. I’m a sucker for YA horror/mystery/thriller books – there aren’t enough of them out there so I always kind of freak out when I find one, lol.

AH! I see that you have Born of Illusion! I read that one recently – in my opinion, it was pretty good, but kind of predictable, and not that impressive. But I know that most people really enjoyed that one. And I got Relic as well! I got it last week, but I put it in this week’s haul because I forgot about it. And I got These Broken Stars (and Alienated by Melissa Landers) a little more than a month ago – those two Disney books are amazing! :D

    Have a great week!

    Check out my STS post!

I have my reservations about Born of Illusion – I have since I first heard about it. But a lot of people have said they liked it so I thought I’d give it a shot. We’ll see how it goes. I’m gonna have to check out Alienated – I don’t know that I’ve heard anything about that one.

      Thanks for stopping by!

Kick tush haul ma’am! I got a ARC of Born of Illusion that I just haven’t had a chance to read yet sadly :'( . And of course you know how I feel about TBS (insert sobbing here).

Yes, I have way too many ARCs that have been published but I haven’t read yet. Ugh, I don’t want to think about it because it depresses me. :(

I’m so sorry about TBS! I will share my copy with you if you promise to return it to me in pristine condition! PROMISE. You know how much it means to me….

Born of Illusion and Ruining look good! I’m not into historical (and that’s putting it very mildly lol), but I’ve been wanting to find one I could actually enjoy and Born of Illusion has been pretty popular so far. I’m curious to see what you think of it!
I have These Broken Stars too, just haven’t had time to get to it. Maybe we could buddy read ;D

    • Shannon

I’m very much not into historical as well but I thought I’d give a try since so many people have enjoyed it. I’m curious to see what I think of it as well, lol. And yes, we could totally buddy read if you want!

      • Jessi @ Auntie Spinelli Reads

Wait. I’m retarded. I have Chaos of Stars, not These Broken Stars lmao! Got them mixed up >.<
Now that I realized I don't have it, I'm very jealous that you do! ;D
Hyperion doesn't like me much though, I can never get approved for ANYTHING by them, sadly…

        • Shannon

Ooo, I can’t wait to read Chaos of Stars as well! A lot of people have said that Hyperion is very hard to get ARCs from…I guess I just caught someone on a REALLY good day…
